It feels like I blinked and we are already in September. But there are so many good things coming (many in this post), so I can forgive and forget the craziness. My all time favorite holiday is Halloween and it has always been my goal to one day turn my garage into a haunted house for trick or treaters. Three year ago, I finally made it happen! My family and I made an awesome (in my opinion) haunted house using animatronic, strobe lights, fog machines, cooked pasta, and fake bloody. It’s one of my best halloween memories!

My favorite Halloween memory has to be from more recent years. I love Halloween, but it’s even better watching my daughter experience it for herself. Last year was the first year she really got into trick or treating. She went as a dog. She ran up to each house and barked her “trick or treat”.

Ooooh, my favorite Halloween memory? Hm, well, when I was a kid, I had this VHS tape of special Halloween-focused programming from Disney and ABC specials and such, all compiled into one big Halloween extravaganza. It was probably over 3 hours long, but every Halloween (and Mischief Night, as well) I’d watch it, and it really made me feel the holiday in a concrete way every year, whether or not we were able to go trick-or-treating. I loved it, I love this time of year, and thinking of those days makes me really happy!

Hmmm … My favorite Halloween memory. I just remember going trick-or-treating with my cousins when I was little. It always felt so exciting, every house with lights on gave me a little thrill. But, I also got tired very fast (they were a lot older than me), then I guilted them into giving me some of their candy since I didn’t have as much. LOL!

I don’t know if I have a favorite memory, but my most memorable childhood one was walking up this VERY long driveway during trick-or-treating and being rewarded with a full-size candy bar and a ziploc of small candy plus a dollar bill (back when that kind of swag was unheard of).

Before I have my two babies ( they are toddler) now, I have never celebrated Halloween. 1) I am not into scary things; 2) candies are not something I eat a lot. ( I like milk tea and cake for sweet.) However, Halloween has became one of my favorite holidays because the fact that I can dress my babies up and they look soooo cute in their costumes. My favorite Halloween memory was a few couple years ago, i I dressed my less than 2 years old son as a Batman. He was so Chubby, so he looked like a chubby cat with capes on. Due to the pandemic, we did not go and host a trick or treat last year. I miss doing those with the kids and seeing all the smiles when they get candies . I hope everything will soon to be normal , and we can all celebrate again.

Halloween is quite possibly my favorite holiday. We have lots of fun traditions, but I think my favorite is our annual family costume. Each year we decide on a matching theme and get pictures taken. I think my favorite so far was The Addams Family. Happy Halloween!

My Mom always says she doesn’t really like Halloween, but she still made so many homemade costumes over the years with five kids. She made an E.T. costume for me when I was little and now my kids have worn it once it fits them.

My favorite Halloween memory was my annual trek to the “creepy old cat lady’s house.” You had to stay for an hour to chat — and the litter box fumes were potent — but you came away with a curated bag of treats, including a full-sized Hershey bar. Even as a little kid, I knew that night was special for her.
