Quixotic Polish | 3 Year Anniversary Collection | February 2020

I’ve been on a polish swatching binge over the last week or so and I have so many pictures (and maybe a few swatch videos) to share with you.

Let’s started with the upcoming 3 year anniversary collection from Quixotic Polish. I always love getting to see indie maker’s celebrate brand birthdays. I can’t imagine how hard it is to run a business, so just know that I am filled with love and excitement every time a brand celebrates another year in the community!

So, what do we have coming for this year’s celebration? How about three stunning magnetic polishes? That sound pretty good, right?

In addition to the magnetic polishes, Mary will also be releasing three revamped discontinued shades.  The aniversary polishes will be available Saturday, February 22nd at 10 am PST. Full collection will sell at a discounted price of $33. You can grab your set here!

Let’s take a look at the magnetic polishes first!

For best results, use with a neodymium magnet (available in the shop) and hold the magnet over each nail for 20-30 seconds. All three magnetic polishes are pictured in two coats – unmagnetized and in three coats – magnetized.

All swatches done using Vapid Lacquer – Commitment Issues Peel Off Base Coat and Cuticula Limitless  Quick Dry Top Coat. Pictures taken in direct lighting with a natural daylight Ottlite.

Queen of Shade

A pink/gold/green magnetic microflake topper adorned with striking aqua/marine blue flakes. This polish can be built up on its own, but may require an extra coat for opacity. Can also be worn over black for a super deep look!

Price: $12.00

A navy base with aqua/purple shifting shimmer gives way to a silver/green/pink/gold magnetic pull.

In addition to the three gorgeous magnetic polishes, three fan favorites are returning in a revamped form! The 2.0 polishes will be available on February 22nd at 10 am pst and will be limited to a one week sale ending Saturday, February 29th.

Razzle My Berries 2.0

A July 2018 color of the month is making a comeback with twice the shimmer and an even deeper base. Razzle my berries is a striking fuschia base with a dazzling deep blue shimmer and holo micro glitter.

Opaque for me in two coats.

Deciduous 2.0

A color of the month fan favorite is coming back with a new look! Deciduous 2.0 is a smoky blue/grey crelly with orange/green shifting micro flecks and red/orange/bronze ultrachrome flakes.

Evening Drawing Nigh 2.0

An old favorite coming back with an even more vibrant base of multichrome shimmer and improved formula. Evening Drawing Nigh 2.0 is a blue to purple to pink to orange to gold shifting multichrome base decorated with holo galaxy glitter in various sizes. This polish will dry with some texture so be sure to use your favorite topcoat generously to smooth it out which may require 2 coats.
