Indie makers have been blowing us away this month with the gorgeous, bright spring collections and Vapid Lacquer is no exception. Everything is going down Saturday March 30th; so ladies and gentleman, set those alarms, warm up those fingers and get the caffeine on deck because you are not going to want to miss this release.
This bouquet of a collection is super fun because there is a mix of a little bit of everything. It’s a little bit sweet, a little bit sassy, and a whole lot of FABULOUS! The names are silly and eclectic, but the colors themselves complement each other and they also just work well together.
This release will feature all eight polishes and two new lip glosses, as well as two additions to the bath and body line – Bubble Bath and a new Room and Linen Spray.
I had a lot of fun playing with the new polishes and testing the lip glosses and I can’t wait to share everything with you all. I was feeling a
little lot extra while working with the collection, so I also set aside some time to do a little nail art with a few of the polishes. Let’s get started! (I even brought in some assistance from my dad to get some good pictures for you guys).
My Dress Has Pockets
My Dress Has Pockets is described as a shimmering periwinkle polish with heaping helpings of linear and scattered holographic sparks and subtly peaks of copper, red & red aurora shimmers. Opaque for me in two coats.
This was the first polish that I swatched and I definitely had test it out with a little nail art!
Lilacluster is described as a shimmering lilac linear and scattered holographic polish with a subtle red/pink and turquoise aurora shimmer that makes this polish anything but lackluster. Opaque for me in two coats.
So Long and Thanks For All the Fish
So Long and Thanks For All the Fish is described as a turquoise shimmer polish, beaming with linear and scattered holographic and green to red/gold aurora shimmer. This polish pays homage to one of Vapid’s favorite book series and movies – Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Opaque for me in two coats.
I added a bit of stamping to So Long and Thanks For All the Fish too!
Petrichor is described as a grey crelly-like polish with copper shimmer and added sparkles. This polish is reminiscent of sudden springtime storms and grey skies, the peek of sunshine after the storm blows out, and dew drops that turn a yard into a fairy wonderland (or at least they did for me when I was a little girl).
What’s the best thing to look forward to after a spring storm??? Spring flowers course!! This mani features Petrichor, as well as My Dress Has Pockets, Lilacluster, So Long and Thanks For All the Fish, and Stop and Smell the Rose!
Stop and Smell the Rose!
Stop and Smell the Rose! is described as a mauve/orchid pink linear and scattered holographic polish with a red to gold/green shifting aurora shimmer. Opaque for me in two coats.
Tequila Mockingbird is described as a light sheer beige polish with aurora shimmer. This polishes is a lighter and more sheer sister to Surprise! I’m Drunk! Opaque for me in two coats.
Make Love Not Roar
Make Love Not Roar is described as a bluegrass scattered hologrpahic crelly with holographic glitters and various sized glitters in purple, pink, blue, and teal. This polish is a spin on T-Rex Arms, which was released a few years ago. Opaque for me in two coats.
Peep! Peep! is described as a white based crelly polish with violet shimmer and micro glitters in two shade of pink and in a cheery yellow. Peep! Peep! is a limited pour shade, so get those ninja fingers ready! Opaque for me in three coats.
What do you do when it’s spring/Easter, but you are a die-hard Halloween fanatic???
I am one of those people that have a million different lip glosses and chapsticks in my bottomless pit (AKA my purse). I typically steer towards clear glosses and chapsticks, but I was pleasantly surprised to learn that I actually love tinted lip gloss.
These two new glosses will have the same great formula and bakery fresh flavor, but both are more pigmented that previous glosses!
Problem Child is described as a brown based mauve gloss with a subtle shift. The brown base color in this gloss is the same as the polish.
Platonic is a raspberry pink gloss with shimmering gold hues.
The spring collection, lip glosses, and bath/body products will be releases on Saturday March 30th at 3pm CST on the Vapid Lacquer website.
Be sure to check out the Vapicorns Facebooks group for more info on the release, more more swatches and for my swatch videos of all eight polishes.
